NIBA Game Builders Highlands Elementary After School

The NIBA Game Builders class is a fun and engaging program designed to help children leverage the full power of block-based programming to create their own interactive games. Kids will use visual programming blocks to design game characters, implement game logic, create win-or-lose scenarios, build challenges, and develop new levels.

Kids will first learn a programming concept and then put it into practice by adding new features to their games. As they progress, they will explore concepts such as variables, loops, conditions, functions, events, coordinates, sprites, animations, and game mechanics. Each project gives students the opportunity to experiment, troubleshoot, and improve their creations while seeing their ideas come to life on the screen.
