Game Makers Level 1 Fall 2026 - Wednesdays

Gamer Makers Level 1 introduces young learners to the exciting world of game development through play, experimentation, and storytelling.

Kids will begin with a collection of fun, pre-made games and explore how they work by changing different parameters and settings. They might adjust a character’s speed, change how objects behave, modify scores or challenges, and immediately see how their choices affect the gameplay.

Through these hands-on experiments, children will gradually discover the basic ideas behind coding, such as sequences, events, variables, conditions, and cause and effect—without being overwhelmed by complicated programming.

Kids will also use games to tell stories step by step, creating characters, events, challenges, and outcomes. As they progress, they will move from simply playing games to understanding how games are built and beginning to make creative changes of their own.

Gamer Makers Level 1 helps children develop computational thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence while providing a fun and age-appropriate introduction to coding and game creation.
